While some people might be happy to install their new floor themselves, it is not for everyone. You may want someone to take care of your new flooring installation entirely. With over 20 years of experience, ID Flooring offers a full installation service* (Gold Coast area), where we are able to arrange your new flooring from beginning to end. There is no reason for you to get your hands dirty as ID Flooring do all the hard work for you. This will give you more time to do what is important to you, spending time with your family and friends, and will get the job finished quicker and with less inconvenience.
* We do not offer an installation service for tiles or direct stick timber floors.
Installation Steps
Step 1 – Selection
Come into our Helensvale showroom and browse through our wide range of vinyls, hybrids, timbers, and carpets. Our flooring experts will be able to go through the many aspects of the different flooring types, to assist you with choosing the best flooring for your home.
Step 2 – Measure and Quote
We will come to your home on time to measure up for your new flooring, but most importantly inspect your existing floor. When we provide you with a clear and detailed quote, we want to make sure that it is complete and includes everything that would be required from take-up to floor preparation and the correct trims.
Step 3 – Accept Quote and Proceed
Once you are happy with your chosen flooring product and colour, you can proceed with your flooring quote. To proceed, we will get you to sign off on your quote and pay a deposit. From here, we will start to arrange your new flooring products and book your installation.
Step 4 – Installation of Your Floor
We will stay in contact with you in the lead up to your installation, to make sure that your installation day goes as smoothly as possible. When the installation day arrives there will be no surprises, as we have completed a through inspection when the measure was completed.
Step 5 – Finished
Now that your new flooring is complete it is time for you to enjoy it, sit back and watch your kids run around on your new floor and invite your friends over to show it off. If any issues do arise with your flooring after the installation, do not be concerned as we are here to provide you with after-sales support.
Questions and Answers
What area’s do you offer the full supply and installation service to?
As we are located at Helensvale on the Gold Coast in Queensland, we offer our full supply and installation service to the surrounding Gold Coast area. If you would like to confirm if we offer this service where you live, simply contact one of our friendly sales consultants.
Do you move furniture for me?
Yes, we can include moving furniture in your quote. We can move beds, couches, dining table and chairs, and even your fridge. We will not disconnect or reconnect any computer or entertainment items and due to insurance limitations, we are unable to reconnect dishwashers, washing machine, or fridge hoses. You will be required to clean-up / move the smaller items such as clothes and toys.
Can you take-up my existing floor?
Yes, we can include take-up and disposal of your existing floor in your quote. We are able to take-up carpet, vinyl, timber and ceramic tiles. If there is more than one layer of existing floor coverings (which we are not aware of), there may be additional costs to remove these subsequent layers. Ceramic tile removal is costly but not always necessary, with some products able to be laid over the top. As part of our inspection, we will advise if your tiles are suitable to be laid over.
Do you take away all your rubbish?
Yes, removal of the installers waste and any flooring we take-up is included in your quote. We will remove these from your home and not dispose of rubbish in your bin.
How quickly can you start?
From when you proceed to when we can start your installation is normally 2 weeks, but this can vary depending on product availability and the number of other jobs being installed during the same period. If you have a time frame you are after, please discuss this with us and we will be able to advise if we can meet it or not.
How long will the installation take?
The time it will take to install depends on the product chosen and how many square metres are to be laid, it could take half a day to an entire week to complete. Most standard jobs are complete within 1-2 days.
I have a cheaper quote from someone else who hasn’t come out to measure, can you match their price?
When we come out and measure your home, we also do a full inspection of your existing floor. From this inspection, we can ascertain any extras that may be required and include this in your quote. If you have a cheaper quote from someone who hasn’t inspected your floor than they most likely have not included everything and may charge you extra once they start your installation. Experienced buyers avoid companies with salespeople that have no idea how to quote on floor preparation and leave it for the installers to ambush you on the day of the installation. We can help you compare the quotes if another company’s quote is confusing or open-ended.
What happens if there is a problem with my flooring after it is installed?
We are here to support you with any issues with your flooring after it is installed. If there is a product failure we will assist with putting a claim through to the manufacture based on their warranty terms. In the rare event of any installation issues, we will arrange for the installer to return promptly to carry out repairs during the installation warranty period.
